The mother of American Today Show host Savannah Guthrie is missing.
A major case is unfolding in the United States as authorities fear the 84-year-old’s life may be at risk after she was taken from her home over the weekend.
Investigators say it’s a race against time to find Nancy Guthrie.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Office says the elderly mother of the TV host was abducted from her home in Arizona over the weekend and may have been harmed in the process.
While the sheriff’s office is remaining tight-lipped about the crime scene, the LA Times reports investigators found blood inside the home, with signs of forced entry.
The sheriff noted that Ms Guthrie’s wallet and phone were left behind as well as vital medication, and says not taking it could be fatal for the 84-year-old.
