Douglas Murray skewers ‘virtue signalling’ Billie Eilish over hypocritical Grammys speech

Author Douglas Murray blasts singer Billie Eilish for her “pure virtue signalling” during her acceptance speech at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
“I’m not sure what in Billie Eilish’s head does work … I’d ask the question, what exactly is stolen land?” Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“I think what Miss Eilish thinks is that America … and other Western countries are on stolen land and that there’s something unique about that and as a result, yes, you shouldn’t have borders.
“This is just pure virtue signalling, celeb stuff.
“I’m very glad to know what’s in Miss Eilish’s head as a result of this brilliant proclamation.”
