Shadow Education Minister Julian Lesser criticises the police for admitting publicly that they cannot guarantee safety.
“I don’t want to see the Jewish community retraumatised after what it’s gone through at Bondi,” Mr Lesser told Sky News host Sharri Markson.
“To the police, I say your job is not just to protect the peace, but it’s to protect the peaceful.
“We have to be able to have gatherings.”
