The Department of Homeland Security says federal law enforcement has arrested more than 4,000 violent illegal immigrants in Minnesota.
This is under Operation Metro Surge, which is targeting murderers, rapists, gang members and terrorists.
DHS officials said arrests have continued despite violent resistance from protesters and called on local “sanctuary” politicians to cooperate.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt praised President Trump’s enforcement policies.
"President Trump’s commonsense immigration enforcement policies are delivering the public safety results the American people demanded, with more than 4,000 dangerous criminal illegal aliens already arrested in Minnesota since Operation Metro began," Leavitt told Fox News Digital.
Federal officials vowed not to “back down” from their mission to remove criminal illegal aliens from American neighbourhoods.
