Shadow Assistant Education Minister Zoe McKenzie reacts to Federal MP Ed Husic expressing his “deep concerns” about Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s upcoming visit to Australia.
“It’s particularly disrespectful to the Jewish community who is still mourning, still hurting,” Ms McKenzie told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“This is an act of friendship for a largely ceremonial leader of Israel, to come to Australia, to sit down with Jewish communities … and to bring comfort to them.”
