Singapore’s Communicable Diseases Agency on measles risks, symptoms and quarantine orders

As Singapore announced mandatory isolation for measles cases, group director of communicable diseases programmes at the Communicable Diseases Agency, Assoc Prof Lim Poh Lian explained the symptoms and risks of measles, and how vaccination helps.

Close contacts of measles cases who are unvaccinated will be placed under home quarantine – unless their homes are assessed to be unsuitable – for up to 21 days to minimise the risk of transmission in the community. Read more: https://cna.asia/4bErqa9
