An alleged ransom note involved in the Nancy Guthrie case is sparking questions about how Bitcoin and cryptocurrency show up in crimes.

Bezalel Eithan Raviv, the CEO of Lionsgate Network, a blockchain forensics firm, explains how cryptocurrency works in these type of investigations.

The 84-year-old has been missing since Jan. 31 out of her Tucson-area home. Her daughter, Savannah Guthrie, released a fourth video on Feb. 9, pleading for Nancy’s safe return home.
