Inspector General expands probe into police corruption across Ontario

Ontario’s Inspector General of Policing has launched a province-wide review into police corruption following the arrest of several current and former Toronto police officers linked to a murder plot, drug trafficking and organised crime. The inspection — covering all 45 police services in the province — will examine how officers are supervised, vetted and how they access police databases. The report will be released publicly when complete. CTV News Ottawa’s Stefan Keyes reports from Ottawa, Ont., on the investigation and what officials say needs to change.
