Britain must stay vigilant about the security risks China poses to our energy supplies, Ed Miliband has warned.
The Energy Secretary told MPs he will move to diversify supply chains as the UK ramps up solar panels and wind turbines.
Appearing before the Energy Security and Net Zero committee on Wednesday, Mr Miliband insisted Britain can both cut bills and deliver the new energy infrastructure the nation needs.
Labour has been urged to ditch plans to slash carbon emissions to net zero with public support for achieving this milestone before 2050 plunging by nearly half since 2021.
Fewer than three in 10 (29%) people now say the UK should hit net zero before the Government’s 2050 target – down from 54%.
