Two Iraqi bases housing US and Iraqi forces were hit by more than a dozen Iranian missiles on Tuesday night, Wednesday night, the Pentagon said.

Ain Al-Asad air base in the west of the country is one of those hit, and the other is in Erbil, in the Kurdish region of Iraq. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has assumed responsibility for launching the missiles at both bases.

An Iraqi security source told CNN that 13 rockets hit Al-Asad base, and they were launched from a distance of about 10 km. Kurdish sources said the missiles struck two separate parts of Erbil: one fell within the airport perimeter but did not explode, and the other crashed about 33 km west of the city without leaving casualties.

According to Iraqi security sources, there are reports of Iraqi victims, but there is no information on how many are or if they were killed or injured. US officials have informed the press that there are no reports of US victims.
