Britain put a drone speedboat in a cargo plane. Then Ukraine used it against Putin | Wes O’Donnell

Vladimir Putin thought moving Russia’s Black Sea Fleet 800 kilometres east to Sochi would finally protect his ships from Ukrainian sea drones. He was wrong.

Ukraine just struck deep inside Sochi’s protected harbour. But they didn’t use any old drone.

According to reports, they deployed the K3 Scout – a British military drone boat.

This incredible weapon has more than a thousand kilometres of range, can carry 600 kilos of mission equipment, and has one completely ridiculous party trick.

It can quite literally be dropped out of the sky! Yes, that’s right, it can be shoved out of a military airplane and the moment it hits the ocean it’s ready for action.

Here’s how Britain quietly handed Ukraine a weapon that changes the Black Sea war… again.
