Democrats won control of both chambers of the US Congress in a midterm election landslide that amounted to a rejection of President Donald Trump following widespread voter discontent with the economy and the war in Iran.

US futures erased losses after Democrats swept to power in Congress and President Donald Trump said he would accept the results, easing uncertainty and prompting investors to buy the recent dip in stocks.

Shares of Elon Musk’s Tesla and Spacex fell in US premarket trading, sharpening investor concern over the future of the Republican megadonor’s key holdings.
