Disapproval of Milei’s government rises on the eve of legislative elections in Argentina.
According to a survey by the AtlasIntel Institute released on friday, disapproval of argentine president Javier Milei‘s government has risen amid a crisis over corruption schemes and on the eve of legislative elections on sunday, october 26th.

According to the survey, 55.7% of voters disapprove of Milei’s work. Another 39.9% say they approve, while 4.4% did not respond. The difference of almost 15 percentage points between the two groups is the largest ever recorded by Atlas, and confirms a trend that has been consolidating in recent months.
The scandals that have affected members of the president’s closest circle, including his own sister and advisor, Karina Milei, may have taken their toll. No less than 50.8% of survey participants said corruption is among the country’s biggest problems. Next came unemployment (33.2%) and inflation (30.8%). Sixty-eight percent of survey participants said Argentina’s economy is doing poorly. Regarding the job market, 70% said it was poor. And 51% said their own family’s economic situation was poor. A total of 6,526 Argentines were interviewed between October 15th and 19th. The margin of error is plus or minus one percentage point.
