Israeli attacks leave at least 20 dead in Gaza

Maricopa County prosecutors have announced they will seek the death penalty for Sencere Hayes and Cudjoe Young, the two men accused of the April 2023 murder of 22-year-old Mercedes Vega.
Vega was found shot inside a burning vehicle, and her parents, Tom and Erika Pillsbury, support the decision, stating the punishment fits the crime’s brutality.
The parents view the prosecutor’s announcement as the beginning of what they expect to be a lengthy pursuit for justice in the case.
