Australia implements a world-first social media ban for children under 16, blocking access to platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat as part of the government’s plan to combat online bullying and negative effects of big tech. The ban took effect at midnight, marking the first time Australian children have woken up without access to these social media platforms.
