Gov. Katie Hobbs joined Flagstaff leaders to officially open The Lantern, a former hotel turned into transitional housing, adding 130 beds. Flagstaff Shelter Services can now support more than 400 people per day with shelter and wraparound services to help people move into permanent housing. Flagstaff’s cost of housing is more than 50% higher than the national average and the city declared a housing emergency. Mason Carroll has more.
