The Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board voted Tuesday to close two schools, affecting hundreds of students. Board members voted 3-2 to shut down Echo Canyon School and Pima Elementary starting in the 2026-2027 school year. Officials cited declining enrollment as the reason for the closures.
