Timmins council voted to establish a permanent homeless encampment for up to 44 people at the former Tembec sawmill site on Highway 101. Mayor Michelle Boileau says the MNR-owned land could offer shelter within months. The move, opposed by two councillors, will help secure $3.2 million in provincial funding.
