A top Disney executive has revealed that the White House never reached out to the company during the suspension of the ABC talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Disney Entertainment co-chair Dana Walden sat down for an interview with Bloomberg, where she revealed the Trump administration never reached out during the suspension.
ABC had suspended Jimmy Kimmel Live! In September, something US President Donald Trump praised on social media.
Walden discussed why Kimmel was suspended, with her explaining they wanted to “take the temperature down” following the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Affiliate broadcast licenses had been threatened by FCC Chairman Brendan Carr if they didn’t “take action” against Kimmel over comments he made.
