Israeli attacks leave at least 20 dead in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has criticised Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for failing to address anti-Semitism following a deadly attack, calling his government weak and accusing it of allowing hatred to spread. Albanese has rejected the criticism and announced emergency meetings to fast-track gun law reforms, including limits on firearm ownership and regular licence reviews. The gunman’s son, Navid Akram, had been known to ASIO since 2019 but was not considered an immediate threat.
