Singapore’s retrenchment outlook in 2026 is looking more uncertain, which analysts say is driven by deeper shifts in how global firms operate. As companies consolidate regional functions, mid-level operations and support roles could be squeezed. A recent survey by the Singapore National Employers Federation also found more firms planning hiring freezes next year. Nadirah Zaidi reports.
