After Nick Reiner was booked for the murder of parents Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner, attorney Alan Jackson told reporters Dec. 16 that the 32-year-old was not medically cleared to appear in court. Speaking to reporters outside a Los Angeles courthouse on Dec. 16, defense attorney Alan Jackson confirmed that the 32-year-old is currently being held at Men’s Central Jail and is undergoing a medical evaluation. Jackson noted that the process is standard procedure and said he hopes Nick will be medically cleared in time to attend a scheduled court appearance on Dec. 17. Authorities said Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Reiner were found dead inside their Brentwood home on Dec. 14. On Dec. 16, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced that Nick Reiner is being charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
