A bombshell ban could be coming soon to Phoenix city parks. On Wednesday, the city council is voting on an ordinance that would prohibit certain types of medical care in city parks.

Nonprofits that work with the homeless say this would put a strain on the entire healthcare system.

“I was shocked,” said Kim Despres, CEO of Circle the City. “There was not any discussion at all.”
The organization provides healthcare to the homeless, and Despres said they just found out that soon a big chunk of their work could be banned.

Micaela Marshall reports.
