The first Victims of the Bondi massacre were farewelled on December 17.

Father of five Rabbi Eli Schlanger was mourned by hundreds at a service in Bondi.

Central Synagogue Rabbi Levi Wolff spoke of grief, loss and coming together in a time of need at Rabbi Schlanger’s funeral.

“He was more than just another Rabbi, he was a force,” Rabbi Wolff said.

“Each one of us will honour Eli by also being so much more. More Jewish, more proud, more loving, more attentive to our children, supportive of our friends, and involved in our community.”
