Authorities in the UK are taking a tougher stance on pro-Palestine protesters after Sunday’s terror attack at Bondi Beach.
Police in London and Manchester have declared they will take action against individuals who hold signs or chant slogans targeting the Jewish community.
“We know communities are concerned about placards and chants such as ‘Globalise the Intifada’, and those using it at future protests or in a targeted way should expect the Met or Manchester Police to take immediate action,” Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mark Rowley said.
“Violent acts have taken place; the context has changed. Words have meanings, words have consequences.”
