Australia Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced sweeping reforms on hate speech in the wake of the deadly terror attack in Bondi Beach. Changes include preachers and leaders who promote violence will face an “aggravated hate speech” offence and new laws to cancel or reject visas for those who spread hate.

Two shooters killed 15 people on Sunday (Dec 14) in an antisemitic mass shooting targeting Jews celebrating Hanukkah at Bondi Beach in Sydney, and 17 people are still being treated in hospitals.

All of those killed by the gunmen who have been identified so far were Jewish. https://cna.asia/3KOYpO7
