With nearly 1.6 million foreign workers in Singapore, Caitlin Ng explores how they contribute to the nation’s social fabric, the hopes they carry with them and the efforts by Singaporeans to build stronger ties with the migrant worker community. Michael Lim, Executive Director of the Migrant Workers’ Centre, joins us in studio to share insights into their work on the ground. He discusses some of the challenges migrant workers face and what Singaporeans can do to appreciate their contribution to the economy and society.
