Israeli attacks leave at least 20 dead in Gaza

White Mountain Apache Police Sgt. Melissa Ward is under criminal review by the Navajo County Attorney’s Office following allegations she shoplifted about $1,200 in merchandise and cash from a Walmart in Show Low.
Investigators say surveillance footage links Ward to seven separate incidents over three months involving fraudulent returns and items concealed in shopping totes.
The findings have led to potential felony charges, including organized retail theft and fraudulent schemes. Ward is also the subject of an investigation by the state peace officer standards board that could result in the loss of her certification.
