The Northern Territory government will move to ban puberty blockers for under-18-year-olds.
The decision comes a day after Queensland confirmed its ban on the treatment will remain in place until 2031.
Under the proposed laws, minors in the Northern Territory will be barred from accessing puberty blockers and gender affirming hormones.
The state government says the call is based on concerns for child safety.
