Jo Ann Allen Boyce, one of the Civil Rights heroes of “The Clinton 12” who called to the conscience of America just by going to high school, has died at 84. Allen was a 14-year-old sophomore when she and 11 other Black students endured taunts and threats from the mobs that assembled to stand in the way of court-ordered desegregation. Sunday TODAY’s Willie Geist remembers a life well lived.
