In the week since the murder of Rob Reiner and his wife Michele, a source with direct knowledge of the case says Nick Reiner, who is accused of the killings, was being treated for a serious psychiatric disorder at the time of the crime. Sources say the 32-year-old was diagnosed with schizophrenia several years ago and that his medication had been changed or adjusted some time before the killings. NBC’s Liz Kreutz reports for TODAY.
