It’s been nearly two weeks since Australia implemented a nationwide law that bans those younger than 16 from social media. Platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and YouTube have been required to remove young users or face hefty fines since Dec 10. The ban has been broadly supported by the Australian public, but concerns have been raised about data privacy and freedom of expression. Natashya Gutierrez reports from Sydney on how effective the ban has been so far.
