Social service agencies say while they have seen an uptick in seniors living alone, many are doing so by choice, preferring to live independently. Agencies are now looking at how to better match them with suitable programmes to keep both current and future seniors engaged. Those aged 55 and above made up the majority of one-person households, according to the latest HDB figures. Alexandra Anand reports.
