One American Powerball lottery player has won $2.7 billion.
The winning ticket purchased at an Arkansas petrol station correctly guessed the lottery numbers.
The results were announced on Christmas Eve, ending the game’s three-month-long stretch with no winner.
Organisers claim it is the second biggest pot in US history.
