New South Wales Nationals Leader Gurmesh Singh expresses his concern with NSW passing tougher gun and protest laws, claiming there was a “complete lack of consultation”.
“NSW farmers, Country Mayors Association and the Sporting Shooters Association were notified on Sunday night, at five o’clock, before we were due to debate the legislation the next morning,” Mr Singh told Sky News Australia.
That is simply not enough time.
“Gun reform is highly emotive; it’s complicated. Howard took months to get it right.”
