Dominican president calls on US to respect Venezuela’s sovereignty

The President of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Sylvanie Burton, has strongly criticized the United States for its escalating military and political pressure on Venezuela, calling instead for dialogue, respect for sovereignty, and peaceful negotiations. In an interview aired by China Media Group (CMG), President Burton appealed to Washington to abandon what she described as aggressive and bullying tactics against Venezuela and the wider Latin America and Caribbean region.
