In early December, French President Emmanuel Macron visited China from December 3 to 5, with stops in Chengdu and Beijing. Diplomatic engagement continued with a visit by German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul.

As China and the European Union also mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties this year, in this year-end program, CGTN’s reporter Zheng Yuqiong sits down with young professionals from across Europe who are studying at Peking University, some of whom also have hands-on experience at the European Commission and embassies. One of the guests also serves as secretary-general of European Guanxi, a youth non-profit organization that encourages dialogue between young Europeans and Chinese, helping bridge perceptions and foster mutual understanding and closer cooperation.
