The Russian Defence Ministry has released footage of what it claims is a nuclear-capable missile system deployed in Belarus.

The Oreshnik missile system is capable of deploying hypersonic nuclear missiles.

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin claims the missiles can fly at 10 times the speed of sound and are impossible to intercept.

The systems have been moved closer to Western Europe, reducing the deployment time of a missile in the event of war.

Some experts claim the development highlights Moscow’s growing reliance on the threat of nuclear war to stop NATO weapons supplies to Ukraine.
