A flag-raising ceremony is being held at Tiananmen Square in Beijing to mark the first day of 2026. The Chinese national flag is scheduled to rise along with the first ray of sunshine of the New Year. It is a short ceremony, but people often arrive the night before to get a good spot for the spectacular event. #Hello2026
