Zohran Mamdani has been sworn in as the 112th Mayor of New York City.
The 34-year-old was officially sworn in as the city’s first Muslim mayor in a midnight ceremony.
Mr Mamdani’s team revealed the location was chosen as the subway system is the lifeblood of New York City.
