Bulgaria has adopted the euro as its official currency, becoming the 21st country to join the eurozone.
The Southeast European country has been a member of the European Union since 2007.
Bulgaria formally met the entry requirements for the eurozone monetary area in January 2025.
Concerns have been raised within Bulgaria that adopting the euro could be economically damaging.
