A Sydney mum is being remembered as a hero after rescuing her drowning son at a beach in New South Wales.
The 45 year old’s drowning at Dunbogan Beach is the fourth drowning during the New Year’s period.
Separate coastal searches remain ongoing, including at Coogee for Nepalese national Sushana Khada, who disappeared while swimming with friends.
Crews will also scour the water today for a 14-year-old boy still missing after his boat capsized at Palm Beach on New Year’s Eve.
Western Australia authorities say they’re scaling back a search for a missing snorkeller at Ledge Point Beach near Perth.
