Large part of Nicolas Maduro’s security team killed in US attack

Venezuela’s Defence Minister Vladimir Padrino says a large part of President Nicolas Maduro’s security team was killed during a US raid that led to the leader’s capture over the weekend.
In a televised statement, Mr Padrino backed the declaration of Vice President Delcy Rodriguez as interim president.
He did not confirm casualty figures.
Armed forces have been activated nationwide to guarantee sovereignty across Venezuela.
