A mysterious online bettor made $USD 400,000 on Polymarket predicting the US would invade Venezuela and remove Nicholas Maduro from power.
Nicholas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, were captured by the US military in Venezuela over the weekend and are facing criminal charges.
The mysterious account has made only 13 bets and wagered nearly $US34,000 between December 27, 2025, and January 3, 2026, according to NBC.
All these bets are related to the probability of the US invading Venezuela and removing Maduro from the nation’s presidency.
