The heat is on in New South Wales today as a hot air mass sweeps across the country and moves east.
The scorching weather will hit mostly Sydney’s west, with districts like Penrith expected to reach 40 degrees today, tomorrow, and Saturday.
An excessive heatwave warning has been issued for several regions, including Illawarra and South Coast.
