Ahmed Al-Ahmed, the Bondi terror attack hero who was shot five times while wrestling a gun from gunman Sajid Akram, has arrived in New York to seek a second medical opinion. The father of two is speaking with American TV networks about his decision not to shoot after disarming the gunman, explaining his actions were driven by humanity and a desire to stop further loss of life. Al-Ahmed sustained five gunshot wounds during the confrontation.
