US-listed shares of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) shares were up 4.4 per cent following the monumental US-Taiwan trade deal.

This comes amid the company announcing it will lift its manufacturing capacity in the United States.

“That came as the US and Taiwan announced a trade deal with Taiwan to invest $250 billion in the US chip making industry,” CommSec’s Ryan Felsman told Sky News Australia.
