UMNO, a key partner of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s unity government, has wrapped up its annual general meeting, with calls for party unity and a rebranding of itself and its coalition Barisan Nasional. The largest ethnic Malay party in the country has also proposed forming a grand collaboration with Muslim parties and NGOs. Melissa Goh reports from Kuala Lumpur.
