The incident has triggered a high alert across Punjab, coming just 48 hours before Republic Day celebrations. While police officials have described the injuries as minor, opposition leaders have raised concerns over a massive security lacuna. Investigation teams have recovered wires from the site as they probe the involvement of notorious elements in this targeted sabotage of railway infrastructure.
