The Switzer Report Founder Peter Switzer claims the markets were “worried” about US President Donald Trump’s initial Greenland threat.
President Trump has since ruled out military force to take Greenland and reached a framework deal over the Arctic territory while also reversing tariffs which were set to be imposed on some European countries in February.
“It’s very interesting to see the way the market reacted either before the Greenland threat and after Greenland threat, and we’re basically seeing that the market really was worried about what Donald Trump might do,” Mr Switzer told Sky News Australia.
